The Favor
Given circumstances
- Character
- Courier
- Setting
- A hotel parking garage, third level, your car two spaces away.
- The moment before
- You delivered the package an hour ago and called to confirm. He said he needed to see you in person. He's been waiting here.
- Scene partner
- The client who hired you, standing between you and your driver's side door
Direction
Stay professional as long as you can, then recognize the threat and shift. Calm to cold. The power moves when you stop explaining.
Script
You said the drop was anonymous. No names, no contact after delivery. That was the deal.
CLIENTThe deal's changed. I need you to make another run. Tonight.
I'm booked. I don't do same-day repeats, you'd know that if you'd read the terms when you hired me.
CLIENTThis isn't a request.
Then it's a mistake. You don't know me well enough to threaten me. And you definitely don't know me well enough to follow me to my car.
Move. Or I call someone who will explain it better.
