- You stood up to give the speech you've been practicing for two weeks. You got three sentences in and saw her walk through the door at the back of the room.

- The groom, sitting at the head table ten feet away

The speech is a performance. What's underneath it is not. Let us see you choose to keep going even as the reason you're giving it just walked in.
Script
So I told him—I said, when you know, you know.
And he laughed at me. He said nobody knows that fast.
GROOMIs this going somewhere?
(you look at the back of the room)
Yeah. Yeah, it is.
I was wrong. You were right. When you know, you know.
And I'm really happy for you both.
I mean that. Even if I didn't two years ago when you told me you were seeing someone, I mean it now.
